It is the time when everyone thinks of making a positive change for the new approaching year. I have been on this roller coaster for so many years. You sign up to the gym, go for a few weeks – quit. And I used to do this every year. The biggest challenge for the upcoming year should be to have a healthy and balanced life. Here is my take on the best ways to ease you into a healthy lifestyle. 

Habits over obsessions 

Many times, when you start a new diet or a new exercise routine you go all in and then after a few days you want to quit because it is just too hard and inconvenient. Don’t try to change your life for the new diet or gym but adapt the diet and gym to fit your life. This could involve you making meals for yourself in advance during the weekend and then bringing them in with you for lunch hour at work. In the case of exercising people think that you need to spend more than an hour at the gym. But my advice is to find the nearest gym to your house or work and every nigh either straight after work or from home go there to unwind for 20-30 minutes. If you do this 3-4 times a week for a couple of months you will form a habit and you will enjoy it.

Healthy inside out 

Did you know that what you put on your skin gets into your blood stream in just tens of seconds? What does that mean? Well, if you buy self-care products that are filed with toxic chemicals they can build up in your system and cause health issues. Main chemicals to avoid are parabens as they have been proved to be one of the main causes of breast cancer in women. What you need to do is do a little bit of research into the products you use and throw away anything that has the word paraben in the ingredients list. I would recommend looking into Swiss skincare products as Switzerland banned more than 3000 chemicals while USA still can use harmful chemicals in everyday products.
